LRL developed two types of light sources for display purposes in museum, jewelry shop,
library, and others: high color temperature daylight source and
low color temperature IR cut and UV cut light sources.Daylight
source is designed for simulating the CIE standard daylight illuminant D. It is
suitable for color matching, color grading, as well as for display and museum lighting.
Low color temperature IR cut light source consists of a MR16 halogen
lamp, an attachment, and an IR cut filter. The IR cut filter absorbs IR radiation from the
lamp, and significantly reduces the temperature on objects. It is suitable for displaying
gemstones, such as opal, and museum objects.
Specifications
Color temperature: 3500K
Color rendering Index: 100
IR reduction: >80%
Spectral transmittance of the heat absorbing filter:
Low color temperature UV cut light source consists of a MR16 halogen
lamp, an attachment, and a UV cut filter. This UV filter can cut the UV radiation shorter
than 400 nm. This light source is suitable for illuminating UV sensitive objects, such as
paintings in museum and UV fade gemstones.
